Este tipo de herramienta inform\u00e1tica de an\u00e1lisis ya se ha aplicado en otros campos, como la meteorolog\u00eda y la mec\u00e1nica celeste.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los resultados de la investigaci\u00f3n han sido publicados por la revista\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sciencemag.org\/cgi\/content\/abstract\/315\/5816\/1249\" target=\"_blank\">Science<\/a>\u00a0y han sido explicados en un\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.udel.edu\/PR\/UDaily\/2007\/mar\/water030207.html\" target=\"_blank\">comunicado<\/a>\u00a0de la universidad de Delaware. Por ejemplo, se\u00f1ala Szalewicz, contrariamente a otros l\u00edquidos, el agua aumenta de volumen cuando se congela, lo que explica que el hielo flote en el agua. Por otro lado, el agua puede absorber grandes cantidades de calor antes de empezar a calentarse y lo libera lentamente mientras se enfr\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las caracter\u00edsticas \u00fanicas del agua parecen relacionarse con su estructura molecular y con la capacidad de sus mol\u00e9culas para formar enlaces de hidr\u00f3geno con otras mol\u00e9culas de agua. El hidr\u00f3geno de la mol\u00e9cula del agua tiene una carga ligeramente positiva, mientras que la carga del otro extremo de la mol\u00e9cula es ligeramente negativa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tradicionalmente se pens\u00f3 que en el agua en estado l\u00edquido cada mol\u00e9cula se coordinaba con una media de otras cuatro mol\u00e9culas gracias a estos enlaces de hidr\u00f3geno. Sin embargo, posteriormente se descubri\u00f3 que esta coordinaci\u00f3n tiene lugar s\u00f3lo con dos mol\u00e9culas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:
