onclick=\"referencia('enana roja',event); return false;\">enana roja<\/a> -las m\u00e1s frecuentes en la galaxia- y, por tanto, diferente al Sol. Lo que se sabe, sin embargo, es que est\u00e1 situada en la llamada zona de habitabilidad del planeta, como la Tierra lo est\u00e1 en el del Sol. &#8220;Es un concepto te\u00f3rico que se caracteriza porque a ese rango de distancias un hipot\u00e9tico planeta va a recibir una cantidd de luz o radiaci\u00f3n o energ\u00eda que permitir\u00eda que el agua estuviera l\u00edquida&#8221;, se\u00f1ala Barrado.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Uno de los autores del estudio, el investigador del Max Planck Institute for Astronomy\u00a0Martin K\u00fcrster, comenta a este diario: &#8220;Sabemos que el planeta tiene la temperatura adecuada para que el agua pueda existir en forma l\u00edquida, siempre y cuando el planeta disponga de una atm\u00f3sfera suficientemente parecida a la terrestre&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/upload.wikimedia.org\/wikipedia\/commons\/thumb\/5\/53\/Alpha_Centauri_relative_sizes.svg\/350px-Alpha_Centauri_relative_sizes.svg.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Como ahora sabemos que la m\u00e1s cercana de las\u00a0estrellas del tipo <a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('enana roja',event); return false;\">enana roja<\/a> ya tiene un planeta parecido a la Tierra, es muy probable que existan muchos planetas con el potencial de producir vida&#8221;, a\u00f1ade el investigador alem\u00e1n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pero \u00bfes lo mismo tener agua l\u00edquida que albergar vida biol\u00f3gica? La respuesta a esta pregunta es negativa, pero lo primero parece ser imprescindible para lo segundo. &#8220;Todav\u00eda no lo sabemos con certeza&#8221;, reconoce K\u00fcrster respecto a la presencia de agua l\u00edquida en el nuevo planeta.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Seg\u00fan su colega Barrado, y &#8220;con mucho optimismo&#8221; habr\u00e1n de pasar &#8220;al menos diez a\u00f1os&#8221; para responder a esta pregunta.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-lpuTNfRFw4g\/V74NR1kPYrI\/AAAAAAAAA6A\/3xHcF7A2fa0SRa8EIVuwCiH5KElbQ6iAACPcB\/s640\/IMG_1355.JPG\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">No obstante, hay ciertas cosas que se pueden intuir con respecto a la presencia de vida en Pr\u00f3xima b. \u00a0Podr\u00eda suceder, por ejemplo, que al estar tan cerca de la estrella que orbita, apareciera el &#8220;efecto marea&#8221;, el mismo fen\u00f3meno que se da entre la Tierra y la Luna, que hace que nuestro sat\u00e9lite siempre nos muestre la misma cara. &#8220;Es posible que en el nuevo planeta pase lo mismo, lo que implicar\u00eda que, de haber agua l\u00edquida, s\u00f3lo estar\u00eda en una zona cerca del Ecuador, y en el resto estar\u00eda congelada&#8221;, especula el astr\u00f3nomo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Otra posibilidad en contra de la presencia de vida biol\u00f3gica estar\u00eda en la propia naturaleza del\u00a0<em>Sol<\/em>\u00a0de Proxima b. &#8220;Las estrellas rojas de tipo espectral N son muy activas, presentan llamaradas como las del Sol con muchas m\u00e1s frecuencia; esto no s\u00f3lo dificulta la detecci\u00f3n de planetas, sino que, al ser tan en\u00e9rgicas, podr\u00eda esterilizarlos&#8221;, explica.
