Si tienen raz\u00f3n, no habr\u00eda m\u00e1s remedio que reescribir, pr\u00e1cticamente desde cero, lo que sabemos, o cre\u00edamos saber, sobre la estructura \u00edntima de la materia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los experimentos, que ya se est\u00e1n llevando a cabo en Estados Unidos, tratar\u00e1n de demostrar que <strong>los <a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('proton',event); return false;\">protones<\/a> pueden sufrir cambios en el interior del n\u00facleo de un \u00e1tomo<\/strong> en determinadas condiciones. Algo que se considera impensable, ya que estas part\u00edculas est\u00e1n entre las m\u00e1s estables de todo el Universo. Tanto, que se consideran, virtualmente, eternas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com\/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR1NFpyhPpP4Dg-m8Teix053lKbYon8Mh2gNzY6FapKo99AfkEl\" alt=\"\" width=\"304\" height=\"228\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ehu.es\/biomoleculas\/isotopos\/jpg\/atom2.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"304\" height=\"199\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dirigido por Anthony Thomas, de la universidad australiana de Adelaida, el equipo de cient\u00edficos acaba de publicar sus predicciones en <a href=\"http:\/\/journals.aps.org\/prl\/abstract\/10.1103\/PhysRevLett.116.032701\">Physical Review Letters<\/a> y <a href=\"http:\/\/arxiv.org\/pdf\/1506.05875v1.pdf\">ArXiv.org<\/a>. Si al final se demuestra que est\u00e1n en lo cierto, una enorme cantidad de trabajos y experimentos llevados a cabo durante las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas deber\u00e1n ser revisados a fondo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Para la mayor\u00eda de los cient\u00edficos -explica Thomas- la idea de que la estructura interna de los <a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('proton',event); return false;\">protones<\/a> pueda variar en determinadas ciscunstancias resulta absurda, incluso sacr\u00edlega. Pero para otros, igual que para mi, la evidencia de ese cambio interno ayudar\u00eda a explicar algunas de las inconsistencias de la F\u00edsica Te\u00f3rica.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00bfPero qu\u00e9 significa exactamente que los <a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('proton',event); return false;\">protones<\/a> puedan cambiar su estructura interna? Para nuestra vida diara, pr\u00e1cticamente nada, pero en los campos de la F\u00edsica nuclear y la F\u00edsica Te\u00f3rica ser\u00eda una aut\u00e9ntica revoluci\u00f3n que lo cambiar\u00eda todo. Para entenderlo, veamos primero de qu\u00e9 est\u00e1 hecho un <a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('proton',event); return false;\">prot\u00f3n<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/upload.wikimedia.org\/wikipedia\/commons\/b\/b9\/Estructura_interna_atomo_es.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"366\" height=\"366\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Estructura interna del n\u00facleo y sus <a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('nucleones',event); return false;\">nucleones<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A pesar de que son extraordinariamente peque\u00f1os y constituyen una parte fundamental de los n\u00facleos at\u00f3micos, los <a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('proton',event); return false;\">protones<\/a> est\u00e1n, a su vez, formados por otras part\u00edculas, los <a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('quarks',event); return false;\">quarks<\/a>, que permanecen estrechamente unidas entre s\u00ed gracias a la acci\u00f3n de los <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gluon\"><a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('gluones',event); return false;\">gluones<\/a><\/a>, part\u00edculas que, como un pegamento, son responsables de la cohesi\u00f3n interna de los n\u00facleos at\u00f3micos. Y por lo que sabemos hasta ahora, tanto los <a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('proton',event); return false;\">protones<\/a> libres como los que est\u00e1n integrados en \u00e1tomos tienen, exactamente, la misma estructura.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pero esa suposici\u00f3n no encaja bien con la <strong>Cromodin\u00e1mica Cu\u00e1ntica,<\/strong> la teor\u00eda que describe las interacciones entre <a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('quarks',event); return false;\">quarks<\/a> y <a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('gluones',event); return false;\">gluones<\/a>. En base a esa teor\u00eda, los <a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('proton',event); return false;\">protones<\/a> dentro de los n\u00facleos de un \u00e1tomo deber\u00edan estar sujetos, te\u00f3ricamente, a cambios bajo ciertos niveles de energ\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\"
