Cr\u00e9dito: Kavli IPMU. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Una nueva teor\u00eda afirma que la <a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('materia oscura',event); return false;\">materia oscura<\/a> act\u00faa de forma notablemente parecida a part\u00edculas subat\u00f3micas que la ciencia conoce desde la d\u00e9cada de 1930.<\/p>\n<p>Debemos mucho a la <a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('materia oscura',event); return false;\">materia oscura<\/a>: es lo que mantiene las galaxias, estrellas, nuestro Sistema Solar y nuestros cuerpos intactos. Pero nadie ha sido capaz de observarla y a menudo ha sido considerada una forma ex\u00f3tica completamente nueva de materia, como por ejemplo, una part\u00edcula desplaz\u00e1ndose por dimensiones extra del espacio, o su versi\u00f3n cu\u00e1ntica, la <a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('supersimetria',event); return false;\">supersimetr\u00eda<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ahora un equipo internacional de investigadores ha propuesto una teor\u00eda seg\u00fan la cual la <a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('materia oscura',event); return false;\">materia oscura<\/a> se parece mucho a los <a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('pion',event); return false;\">piones<\/a>, que son responsables de la uni\u00f3n de los n\u00facleos at\u00f3micos. &#8220;Hemos visto esta clase de part\u00edcula con anterioridad. Tiene las mismas propiedades: el mismo tipo de masa, el mismo tipo de interacciones, en la misma clase de teor\u00eda de interacciones fuertes que dio origen a los <a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('pion',event); return false;\">piones<\/a> ordinarios. Es incre\u00edblemente emocionante que podamos entender finalmente por qu\u00e9 llegamos a existir&#8221;, afirma Hitoshi Murayama, de la Universidad de California.<\/p>\n<p>La nueva teor\u00eda predice que la <a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('materia oscura',event); return false;\">materia oscura<\/a> probablemente interacciona consigo misma en galaxias o c\u00famulos de galaxias, posiblemente modificando las distribuciones de masa predichas. La investigadora Yonit Hochberg, directora de la investigaci\u00f3n, a\u00f1ade: &#8220;las diferencias clave entre las propiedades de esta nueva clase de teor\u00edas de <a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('materia oscura',event); return false;\">materia oscura<\/a> y las de ideas previas tienen implicaciones profundas sobre c\u00f3mo la <a href=\"#\" onclick=\"referencia('materia oscura',event); return false;\">materia oscura<\/a> puede descubrirse en futuras b\u00fasquedas con experimentos&#8221;.
